Hi! I'm Brie.

Welp, it finally happened...I ended up in cat jail!

I was very stealth-like in the summer, some of my siblings got caught in a trap and then they disappeared! Word on the street was they went to jail!! For what I say? I'm not going to any jail! I'm not going into that trap, no way, no thanks!

But life outside was tough. Finding food, staying cool, not knowing who to trust....definitely not humans, that's FOR SURE! One day this winter I was down on my luck. I had a weak moment...I smelled the ooey gooey goodness of wet cat food and oh no! I got caught!

I braced myself, I knew humans weren't trustworthy. When I was in cat jail, I gave them my best growls and hisses to let them know that they weren't going to pet me!! But my cell neighbour, Stoker, started telling me it's okay, that humans are actually kind. And caring! And they always brought food, that I couldn't deny. And it was warm in jail, that was nice. So I decided I'd give it a try and like them.

Fast forward to today...I got a spay, vaccinations, treatments, testing and a tattoo! I'm growing lots and my foster family says I'm "soooooo cute!!" I even let them pet me now. I rub against their legs and sit near them on the couch and they love it when I "trill". I think that means when I sing.

I'm not so keen on being picked up yet, but maybe one day I will be, if you're patient. I'm a bit scared of pretty much everything at first, but it doesn't take me long to figure things out! I love playing. Play, play, play I say! I love wand toys and HALF of a plastic ball. I know, I know, weird! But it just goes to show that all of us cats are unique!

The Furever Friends volunteers tell me I'm ready to go to a furever home. Maybe it will be yours??

Brie is fully vetted and available for adoption.
