Bonjour, je m’appelle Eloise … that means Hello, my name is Eloise in French. I know this because I’ve been learning French with my little foster human. Every morning we have class together and I learn so much, like tangrams aren’t for chewing, how to be quiet and listen during reading time and not to eat the bean plant from the science experiment! Most of all though, I’ve learned how wonderful is it to feel safe, healthy and loved. You see, not so long ago I was on my own. I wasn’t feeling very good at all and I was so very lonely. I found a warm shed with food and a few big cats that said they’d protect me. I thought that was pretty good, but I didn’t know how great it could get!
One day I got scooped up and carried off to start my life as an inside cat. I was very scared at first, but it didn’t take long to discover that I LOVED my foster family … the ones with two legs, the ones with four legs … it didn’t matter, I just love to be with everyone! I still had a long way to go though. Even with so much love and good food I still didn’t feel well at all. My ears were itchy, my nose was always stuffy and it hurt to eat. I felt so uncomfortable, I even pulled out my own fur! It took a quite a few vet trips, yucky medicine, removal of almost all my teeth and lots of TLC ,but now I’m feeling better then ever. So much better in fact that I took up some new hobbies to do after class … racing the other cats up and down the stairs, collecting little trinkets and toys for my stash and my very favourite ... bird watching! I think perhaps I want to study ornithology next.
My foster family says I’m ready to graduate to my very own Furever Home with people that love me just much as they do. Do you perhaps need a cat whose gets good grades in French, Science, and snuggling? Then you should apply to adopt me!
