Hi, my name is Kanga!

I certainly feel like a very lucky kitten to be spotted in a snow bank in Altona. It helped that I screamed for help at the top of my lungs! I was even luckier to end up at the Altona pound where cats get to start a new life! But…

My rescue was a little bumpy because while I was at the pound, the Furever Friends volunteers noticed that I was very sick. I had no strength left to fight for my life. I just curled up in the corner of my kennel and let the warmth of the pound wash over me, carrying me really close to the rainbow bridge. I was rushed to the Winkler Veterinary Clinic and had to stay several nights to have an antibiotic treatment by intravenous. Everyone at the clinic was really kind and was doing all they could to help me pull through the mystery infection I developed. After I was released from the vet clinic, I still had a month of treatments and a very lengthy recovery.

Now I'm all healed, healthy and ready for adoption! It was a long road and I love to show my appreciation of being alive with plenty of kisses to my favourite people. I also give great snuggles and I love belly rubs! You would be getting a great kitty if you adopted me! I would be great friends with your cats. Maybe even your dog…maybe. And if you have sparkly balls, we can play ALL DAY. I looooovve sparkly balls so much! And sparkly wand toys too! My foster family has a sparkly wand toy I can hear all the way from the other side of the house and I come racing to play whenever they pick it up! It is so much fun to jump and pounce! I also love to cuddle in soft fuzzy blankets.

Furever Friends said that they hope to get an application any day now and soon I will have a family to call my own! Maybe it'll be you - I can’t wait to meet you!

Kanga is fully vetted and available for adoption.
