Hello my name is Smudge!

Smudge as in a blurry, black mark which is me when I attack that flying feather toy! Do you like to play? I do! Tunnels, balls, kickers, fuzzy, furry or feathers … I haven’t met a toy yet that I didn’t like! I would play all day long but I gotta take a couple of breaks for the litterbox, snacks and when I can’t help it … a little cat nap.

 

You know why I like to play so much? Well I gotta make up for lost time. Not that long ago, I was living outside with my feral mama. She managed to find us a shelter in winter and hunted food for us. She was a good mama, but there were no toys, and if I even had time to play, I couldn’t … I was sick.  I had something called an Upper Respiratory Infection, which is kinda like when humans get a very, very bad cold. I needed help to get better. Thankfully, my mama had picked the right winter shelter, and FFCR came to the rescue. After a little TLC and a few trips to the vet, my battery is back up to fully charged. I can run, jump, and climb all day, and I stay charged up and ready to play.

 

Hey, I bet I could be a track star at the Olympics! Do they have cat Olympics? Smudge the gold medalist has a nice ring to it. But if I’m headed to the Olympics, I’ll need a trainer.  Someone to encourage and support me through all the ups and downs of life. Someone who makes sure I get good meals and lots of playtime to help me reach for gold.
