Hi there!

Do you need a little ray of sunshine in your life? Then you should consider adopting me. My name is Solar and I'm the best cat at making sure you feel like you're the center in my solar system. My life will revolve around yours. When you want to play, I will play with you and when you want to snuggle, I will too.

I'm a very easy going cat and your world will become my mine in no time at all! I'm very snuggly and love lap time, couch time and bedtime, but I won’t be a pest about constantly being cuddled because I'm also very polite.

My worst habit is jumping on the counter to sniff out the treats. I've also bitten into a bag of bread or two thinking it was a treat for me. When you are an outside cat hunting, and mice are hard to find, bread leftovers in trash cans sometimes look kinda tasty. I suppose I still have some residual behaviour from that time in my life, when I was roaming outside.

Don’t get me wrong though…I was never feral or a wild cat. I had a family, but they kept me as an outside cat. They lived in town where it's against the law to have cats roaming unattended. So I looked around for places to evade the law.

That’s when I met a nice lady who started taking me inside and showing me the life I could have as an inside cat. I liked it…a lot! She fed me good food and took me to the vet so that I could be spayed. I will always be grateful to her, not to have to bare another litter of kittens.

This lady told me she had been watching me through the window. She watched me shiver in the cold and pant in the hot sun and said enough! She thought to herself “I really need to help this cat find a nice inside home” and that’s when she started to invite me in and changed my life. She said that all living creatures should be treated with respect and kindness, and that all cats should be vetted and not made to suffer having litter after litter of kittens. That they all deserved proper vet care so they didn't have to scratch the ear mites in their ears until they bled. She called the rescue for help and they said they would definitely help me. They all met with my family and talked about what was best for me. My family said that they would let the rescue take me in as they couldn't give me the inside home I deserved. Can you believe that? It’s all so amazing!

Now I'm spayed, treated, healthy and happy and just waiting for a family to adopt me. Belonging to a loving family would be the bright sunny spot of my life. And if that family has other cats to cuddle…it would be the silver lining on an already sunny day!

Solar has been adopted.
