Toby Keith was abandoned on a doorstep and spent a very cold, rainy night outside. When the person living in the house discovered that the cat was still in on the step after spending the night in the rain, she immediately took him inside and put him in a safe spot in the garage until the animal control officer could come pick him up. Furever Friends was immediately called to assess Toby Keith. Our volunteer found him very sick and in need of medical attention. He had sustained an injury to his back that had become infected. After medical treatment and neutering, Toby Keith was ready for adoption.

 

He is such a gentle and loving cat that he accompanied one of our volunteers everywhere, enjoying the car rides and pets from everyone. On one of these trips he met his new mom. She offered to take him on a trial basis to see if he got along with the her dog. Well, Toby Keith is just such a great cat that dogs are no problem because everyone is his friend! Now the three of them live happily together and all even sleep in the same bed!
